Professional Development Workshops

AGCC 2018 will host a number of professional development workshops over the three days immediately before the start of the Convention (Friday 12, Saturday 13 and Sunday 14 October) and the day after the main event (Friday 19 October). A list of the workshops offered is presented below.

Workshop registration is available to AGCC delegates as well as non-delegates, and you must register in advance. If you have not yet registered as an AGCC delegate, you can register for workshops when you complete your AGCC registration online. If you have already registered as an AGCC delegate, you will soon receive an email with instructions on how to add workshop/s to your existing registration.

For non-delegates, please use the button at the end of this page.
Most workshops have limits on the minimum and maximum number of participants, and may require attendees to bring their own laptop and/or other times. These and other details will be made available here as they are finalised.

Workshops that do not receive sufficient participant numbers by Friday 21 September are subject to cancellation and full refunds of workshop fees will be provided. If a workshop delegate cancels their workshop registration on or before Friday 21 September, a full refund of workshop fees shall be made. No refunds are available where cancellation is notified after Friday 21 September.

Please note that abstracts for workshops, where applicable, must be submitted directly to the workshop convenor(s), and not through the AGCC 2018 online registration portal, and will not be included in the Convention proceedings. Enquiries concerning workshops should be
directed to the contact person provided for each workshop below.

All costs quoted are in Australian Dollars (AU$) and include 10% GST.

Three different rates are offered for:

  • 1. AGC Member Organisation Members
  • 2. Non-members
  • 3. Student/Concessional (Unemployed, Retired, Early Career Geoscientist). Please note that
registrations numbers for this category are limited.
